Abstract

AI has the potential to combat climate change by providing predictive analytics, optimizing energy consumption, and enhancing environmental monitoring. This paper explores the role of AI in climate change mitigation, focusing on machine learning models for climate forecasting, carbon footprint reduction, and renewable energy management. We propose an AI-driven framework that integrates satellite imagery analysis, predictive climate modeling, and smart grid optimization. Case studies in deforestation monitoring, ocean health assessment, and energy-efficient city planning highlight AI’s contributions to sustainability. Challenges in data availability, model biases, and policy integration are also addressed.
