Abstract

Autonomous vehicles (AVs) powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) are transforming the transportation industry by improving road safety, reducing traffic congestion, and enhancing mobility solutions. This paper examines the core technologies behind AVs, including computer vision, sensor fusion, and deep learning-based decision-making. We also explore regulatory challenges, ethical considerations, and real-world deployment scenarios. While AVs promise a safer and more efficient future, their widespread adoption depends on advancements in AI reliability, cybersecurity, and infrastructure readiness. Our research highlights the potential and barriers to achieving full autonomy in intelligent transportation systems.
