Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming space exploration by enabling autonomous decision-making, robotic missions, and data analysis. This paper examines AI applications in satellite operations, planetary exploration, and space debris monitoring. We explore the role of machine learning in optimizing mission planning, enhancing astronaut safety, and detecting extraterrestrial signals. Challenges such as deep-space communication delays, AI reliability, and ethical considerations are also discussed. Our research highlights how AI-driven advancements are paving the way for next-generation space exploration and interplanetary missions.
